Admissions
What are the age requirements for admission?
We admit children from Nursery (around 3–5 years) through Primary 7. Class placement is based on age, previous school records (where available), and an assessment to ensure your child joins the right level.
What is the enrollment process?
Parents or guardians visit the school office to collect an application form, submit completed forms with required documents, and pay the registration fee. Your child may sit for a brief assessment. Once accepted, you will receive an admission letter and payment instructions.
Which documents are required for admission?
You will need your child’s recent passport photo, a copy of the birth certificate, the latest report from the previous school (if applicable), and the parent or guardian’s identification (National ID or passport). Additional documents may be requested for transfer pupils.
When are your intake periods?
We admit new pupils at the start of each term (Term I, II, and III), depending on available space. Early applications are encouraged, especially for Nursery and Primary 1, as these classes fill up quickly.
Fees & Payments
How is the school fee structure organised?
School fees vary by class level and whether your child takes additional services such as lunch or transport. A detailed fee structure is available from the school office and is shared with parents at the start of each academic year and each term.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Fees can be paid through the school bank account, mobile money (using the numbers provided by the bursar), or directly at designated partner banking agents. We do not encourage cash payments on campus for security reasons.
Are there sponsorship or bursary options?
A limited number of sponsorships or partial bursaries may be available through partners and well-wishers, based on need and academic performance. For current opportunities, please inquire directly at the school office or with the Head Teacher.
When are school fees due?
At least 50% of the fees should be paid before or during the first week of the term, with the balance cleared by mid-term. Specific deadlines are communicated on the term circular and through class teachers.
Academics
Which curriculum do you follow?
All Parents Primary School follows the Ugandan national curriculum, with a strong foundation in Literacy, Numeracy, Science, and Social Studies, complemented by Religious Education, Physical Education, and co-curricular activities.
How does the grading system work?
Pupils are assessed continuously through classwork, homework, and tests, as well as end-of-term examinations. We use the national grading system (aggregates and grades) as provided by the Ministry of Education and Sports, and share detailed report cards with parents every term.
What is your homework policy?
Homework is given regularly to reinforce classwork and build responsibility. The amount increases with class level but is kept at a manageable load. Parents are encouraged to provide a quiet study space and to monitor that homework is completed, without doing the work for the child.
When do pupils sit for examinations?
In addition to weekly class assessments, we hold beginning-of-term, mid-term, and end-of-term exams. Primary 7 candidates also sit for the national PLE examinations according to the UNEB calendar.
School Life
What are the school uniform requirements?
Pupils wear the official All Parents Primary School uniform, which includes a branded shirt or dress, appropriate bottoms, and black closed shoes. Details and where to purchase uniforms are provided at admission, and uniforms should be clean and neat every day.
What are the official school hours?
The school day runs from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Pupils are expected to arrive by 7:00 am for morning preparations and assemblies, and are picked up promptly at closing time unless they use school transport.
Is lunch provided at school?
Yes. The school offers a lunch programme with a balanced Ugandan menu. The cost of lunch is included as a separate item on the fee structure. Pupils who bring packed lunch from home must follow the school guidelines for healthy meals.
Do you provide school transport or bus services?
Yes. The school operates transport routes within Mubende town and surrounding areas, at an additional fee. Routes and pick-up points are confirmed at the beginning of each term based on demand.
Parents
How does the school communicate with parents?
We communicate through circulars sent home with pupils, class WhatsApp groups (where available), SMS alerts, phone calls, and announcements during parent meetings. Urgent matters are communicated directly by the class teacher or school administration.
How often do you hold parent meetings?
Formal Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) meetings are usually held at least once a term. Class meetings and academic review days are also organised to discuss your child’s progress in more detail.
What are the visiting hours for parents?
Parents are welcome to visit the school office during working hours on school days. To minimise disruption to lessons, classroom visits should be arranged through the class teacher or administration, preferably after classes or on designated visiting days.
