Academic Programs
All Parents Primary School is a Christ-centred day and boarding school in Mubende, Uganda. From Nursery to Primary Seven, we provide a calm, disciplined and loving environment where every child is guided to grow in academic excellence, Christian character and practical life skills.
Overview
All Parents Primary School follows the Ugandan national curriculum from Nursery through Primary Seven (P7), delivered within a clear Christian worldview. Teaching and learning are carefully sequenced so that skills in literacy, numeracy, science, social studies and Christian values build from one class to the next. With 45 qualified and experienced teachers and a low teacher-to-pupil ratio, we offer close academic support, regular internal assessments, end-of-term reports and parent–teacher meetings. Both day and boarding pupils benefit from structured routines, purposeful homework and personal guidance so that every learner is known, supported and stretched to reach his or her God-given potential.
Program Levels
Nursery / Early Childhood (Baby, Middle, Top Class)
Our Nursery section serves children aged 3–5 years in Baby, Middle and Top Class. Learning is play-based and child-centred, with a strong emphasis on phonics, early numeracy, listening and speaking, social skills and Christian values. Through songs, stories, creative arts and outdoor exploration, children build confidence, curiosity and coordination in a secure and loving environment that prepares them for a smooth transition into Primary One.
Lower Primary (P1–P3)
In Lower Primary we consolidate early reading, writing and numeracy while nurturing a love for learning. Pupils study English, Mathematics, Literacy, Science, Social Studies, Religious Education, Music and Art in line with the Ugandan national curriculum. Lessons are practical and interactive, using concrete materials and familiar local examples so that concepts are clearly understood and applied in everyday life.
Upper Primary (P4–P6)
Upper Primary learners deepen their understanding of core subjects and begin to think more critically and independently. In addition to English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, pupils are introduced to Agriculture, local languages and basic technology concepts. Leadership opportunities, group projects and co-curricular activities help them develop responsibility, teamwork and public-speaking skills in preparation for the P7 year.
Primary Seven (P7 / PLE Preparation)
Primary Seven is an intensive year of preparation for the Uganda Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE). Learners follow a structured timetable with focused revision, practice papers, small-group coaching and regular internal examinations. Teachers closely track each pupil’s progress, provide targeted support and offer counselling and spiritual encouragement so that candidates approach the PLE with confidence. Our strong track record shows many pupils continuing to reputable secondary schools within and beyond Mubende.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Holistic education at All Parents Primary School extends beyond the classroom. Pupils participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including athletics, football, music, dance and drama, debate, the Environmental Club and the Christian Union. These programmes develop gifts and talents, build leadership and teamwork, promote discipline and self-confidence, and encourage learners to serve God and their community through healthy competition and service projects.
Boarding Life
All Parents Primary School offers both day and boarding options. Our boarding section provides a safe, structured and caring home-away-from-home where pupils can concentrate on their studies and grow in Christian character. Dormitories are well supervised, with clear routines for prep, personal devotions, hygiene, meals and rest. Trained matrons, wardens and teachers provide round-the-clock care, guidance and pastoral support.
Weekend fellowships, supervised study times and organised recreational activities help boarders to balance academics, spiritual growth, friendships and rest. Regular communication with parents ensures that families remain closely involved in the welfare and progress of their children.
Teaching Staff and Assessment
All Parents Primary School is served by a committed team of 45 qualified and experienced teachers who combine professional expertise with genuine care for every child. Small class sizes and a low teacher-to-pupil ratio allow for personalised attention, timely support and close follow-up with families. Teachers model Christian character, create calm and orderly classrooms and mentor learners in leadership, responsibility and respect.
Assessment is an integral part of our academic programme. Pupils sit regular class exercises, topic tests and end-of-term examinations. Detailed report cards are issued each term, and parent–teacher meetings provide an opportunity to discuss progress and agree on support strategies. In Primary Seven, pupils also sit the national Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), for which we provide structured preparation and careful monitoring of individual performance.
